Almost all air fryers are toxic... I reached out to 50+ brands

There's not a human on this earth who researched air fryers more than me.

Finding a nontoxic air fryer was more challenging for me than when Jordan was trying to get past the Detroit Pistons in the 1980s.

My entire focus and competitive drive has been on finding nontoxic cooking options for us all.

I reached out to 50+ brands to understand their materials.

Everyone thinks air fryers are “healthy”… but when you look deeper, most are a nightmare for your toxic exposure, and potentially harmful for long-term health (teflon, anyone?). These are so poorly made.

Do your own research - you will see I am 100% telling you the truth.

The sad part is that these make cooking so convenient... which makes us cook more... which makes us healthier.

We just need to make the right choices. If you're serious about creating a nontoxic home...

❌ AVOID THESE AIR FRYERS:

❌ Do not buy any of these brands:
Cuisinart, Breville, Ninja (except the glass crispy if you replace the tray), Emeril Lagasse, Cosori, Instant Pot, Black and Decker, GoWise, Oster, Hamilton Beach, and almost all others. They all suck... I did the research so you don't have to.

❌ Plastic interiors
Many air fryers have plastic in the chamber that heats to 350–450°F. Plastics off-gas microplastics, BPA, and flame retardants straight into your food.

❌ Teflon coated walls
Brands market themselves as stainless steel (Cuisinart and many others), but when you dig deeper, it's actually steel coated in Teflon - just check their websites or reach out to the brand.

❌ Aluminum racks and trays
Aluminum heats fast… but it also leaches fast... especially with acidic foods or high temperatures.

Baskets and trays full of PFAS

Most “nonstick” air fryers = PFAS exposure.
These coatings break down under high heat → microplastics + toxic fumes.

I literally could not find a perfect solution... but I found one as close as possible that I finally feel good using and recommending.

The Wonder Oven Pro is my favorite:

✅ Zero plastic in the cooking chamber

Every surface the heat touches is safe.
No plastic walls. No melted liners. No toxic fumes.

✅ Stainless steel interior

No teflon coating like brands like Cuisinart and Ninja. No aluminum.

✅ Steel racks and trays

This comes with many trays so you can do a lot; all but one are steel. There's one bake tray (nonstick ceramic) I don't use - you don't need it for the machine to function. I would mostly worry about it if it scratches, but I replaced it with this 12x12 tray (30% off sale right now); you may need a different size if you get the smaller model. You can also just use Glass! (like a Pyrex).

 ✅ Even heat

The food actually comes out good on this. They upgraded the fan and the food cooks more evenly.

✅ Multi-function

This is 8 in 1 and it even dehydrates now. Reheats too. No more microwaves. Iconic.

Bottom line:

One of my friends just asked me "what should I get this Black Friday"... I said you go with this air fryer.

Why? Cooking at home is a key to health. And air frying is such a great option for our busy lives in 2025 - it's convenient, the food comes out good, and it makes us want to cook more... which automatically makes us healthier.
After hitting up 50+ brands, The Wonder Oven is the closest thing to non-toxic, high-performance air frying on the market.

They have two models:

New Wonder Oven Pro - this is more updated, digital, has 8 in 1 with the dehydrator, and most importantly it has an upgraded fan... so the food comes out more even.

The Wonder Oven Classic - this still has the same non-toxic materials as the Pro. They have two sizes - small and large. I used this before upgrading.

If you get the Pro or the larger classic model, I'd swap the ceramic bake tray and use this 12x12 stainless steel tray instead (30% off) (just place it on top of one of the racks and it works; you can also use it in the regular oven to roast / bake, so you get multi-use out of it). This won't fit in the smaller classic. Read that again.
